Reese Ewing

    Reese Ewing got an undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in linguistics and philosophy in 1991, and went on to do graduate work in classical languages and literature at the University of Texas, Austin. After two years of teaching Latin and remedial English at an inner city primary school in Baltimore in the mid-90s while studying early childhood development at Johns Hopkins, he relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1998, where he is now raising two polyglot children.  Reese started with Reuters news agency in 2000 covering Brazil’s grains, energy and sugar and ethanol markets but also writes about a wide array of subjects including the country’s mining, infrastructure, logistics and environmental issues. He is currently working through an MBA in agribusiness at Esalq/Pecege linked to the University of Sao Paulo.
