Marcelo Galdos

  • Marcelo Galdos is a researcher at the Sustainability Program of the Brazilian Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory (CTBE), part of the Brazilian Center of Research on Energy and Materials. His undergraduate degree was in International Agricultural Development, and his graduate studies were in Agro-environmental Resource Management and Soil Science. He has performed life cycle assessments of biofuels and food products in Brazil with emphasis on carbon footprints. His current research focuses on the effect of land use change and crop management on soil organic carbon stocks, biomass carbon stocks and greenhouse gas emissions at different scales using field measurements, process-based models and geographic information systems.
