Heidi J Albers

  • Heidi J. Albers is a Professor of Applied Economics in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University and  Research Associate with Environment for Development – Tanzania.  She received a B.S. in Geology and Economics from Duke University in 1985, a M.E.S. from Yale University in 1987, and a Ph.D. in Economics from U.C. Berkeley in 1992.  Her research integrates ecosystem characteristics with economic decision frameworks, models spatial aspects of resource management, and addresses the intersection of rural poverty and biodiversity conservation in low-income countries.
