Gardner Brown


    Professor Emeritus Gardner Brown was honored by AERE during the 2008 annual meetings for the 2007 AERE Fellows Award and the 2007 AERE Publication of Enduring Quality Award.  He was selected as an AERE Fellow in recognition of his contributions and innovations to the field  of natural resources and environmental economics.  He was recognized for his service to AERE, as well as for his work in shaping international natural resource and environmental conservation policy through organizations like Resources for the Future.  With a broad and very productive career spanning more than 40 years, Professor Brown’s impact on the filed has been pronounced, particularly his success in promoting collaboration among ecologists, economists and policy makers.
