Deepak Rajagopal

  • Deepak Rajagopal is an assistant professor in the Institute of Environment and Sustainability at University of California, Los Angeles. He has an interdisciplinary background with PhD in Energy and Resources from University of California, Berkeley. He also holds MS degrees in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC Berkeley, and in mechanical engineering from University of Maryland, College Park and Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He also has one year of Post-doctoral research experience at Energy Biosciences Institute, UC Berkeley and three years of work experience as a Structural Integrity and Reliability Engineer at United Technologies Corporation Research Center in Hartford, Connecticut. His research interest spans Lifecycle assessment, Multi-criteria decision analysis, Energy economics and policy, Environmental economics and policy, Economics of Food and Agriculture, Renewable energy systems, Integrated assessment of technology, markets and policy.
