Bill Stewart is a Cooperative Extension Forestry Specialist and Co-Director of the Center for Forestry and Center for Fire Research and Outreach at the University of California, Berkeley. His current areas of research and extension focus on the linkages between managed forests and climate change, the economic aspects of fire-adapted silviculture in California, and succession planning with family forest owners. He has a M.S. and Ph.D. in forest economics and policy from the University of California Berkeley and a B.S. in Environmental Earth Sciences from Stanford University.
