Soren Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is currently a Visiting Researcher at the University of California Energy Institute. His research spans a broad range of topics in energy and environmental economics with a current focus onenergy production and consumption in the personal transportation sector. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in economics from Macalester College. He was previously a research assistant at Resources for the Future and served on the staff of the President’sCouncil of Economic Advisers while earning his doctorate.
